On behalf of the Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce, I would like to thank and congratulate the Sabah Bumiputera Chamber of Commerce (SBCC) and the KadazanDusun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for giving us the opportunity to work hand in hand with them once again to organize this year's Borneo International Trade Fair. I am deeply honoured that SUCCC has been given such as an important role in ensuring the success of this event.

The organizing of this year's BITF2009 requires well coordinated effort of collaborations between the three chambers of commerce. Ultimately, the fundamental objectives of BITF2009 are to facilitate the state government of Sabah to increase, promote and stimulate commercial and economic activities within the state and in the larger scale of the BIMP-EAGA region. Our objectives now are as clear as it were then two years ago with BITF2007. with more resources and experience, we believe that with BITF2009, we will achieve greater heights. I also believe that the BITF will propel our status as the most ideal venue for meetings, incentives, conference and exposition (MICE).
